Barrister's Choice

BARRISTER'S CHOICE

Bret Clement 2007

Tetraploid, Dormant, Mid/late, re., 6.5", 36" Height, 2-3 Way Branching, 13 Budcount.
(Swallow Tail Kite x unk)

While the sepals of BARRISTER'S CHOICE quill much of the time, I agonized over whether to register it as an unusual form and in the end decided that all three sepals are not quilled consistently enough to justify registering it as an unusual form. But for those of you who do not quibble over such details, think of it as an usual form, since it frequently blooms as an unusual form as in the photo. BARRISTER'S CHOICE is a rich purple with a yellow green throat and a white watermark. Bud count is a bit on the low side, but the timing of the blooms gives it a bloom season comparable to cultivars with a higher bud count and the fact that it consistently gives me some rebloom here in Indiana extends its bloom season even longer.
