BREATH OF BLUE AIR

BREATH OF BLUE AIR

Bret Clement 2005

Diploid, Dormant, em.,re., 6", 32" Height, 2-3 Way Branching, 16 Budcount UF Variable Crispate.
(Indian Giver x Spinning Span)

BREATH OF BLUE AIR is an unique shade of lavender purple self. It has a light eye and white edge. Under certain conditions, one sees a bit of a blue sheen on this cultivar, hence its name, BREATH OF BLUE AIR. It reblooms, and strangely enough, I have only been able to set pods on it on rebloom. The pollen is only moderately fertile. Too be honest, the picture is better than the typical bloom. As a variable crispate, individual blossoms can vary considerably in form. However, BREATH OF BLUE AIR was not selected because of the qualities of its individual bloom, but rather because of its interesting color and that fact that it grabs your attention when multiple blooms are open on a clump.
